Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and quite lovely with a nice outlook over the bay. The service was very pleasant, and the staff even moved us to a suite. The location was fabulous, right by the St Andrews clubhouse and the First Tee. The dining experience was also very good. The price felt fair for what was offered.
The hotel was advertised as a deluxe, but the rooms really needed refurbishing and the bathrooms were dated. Despite this, the room was clean and comfortable. Some decor refreshing could enhance the overall experience. The service was attentive and friendly, although they seemed to struggle at times. The location was superb with a lovely view of the Old Course, but the property itself needed some major TLC. Dining experience was a letdown with poor service despite a friendly waitress. The buffet lacked variety and preparation. The hotel has potential with its great location but requires improvements in various areas.
The hotel offers great views from the rooms, even though they are a bit tired looking with some holes in the walls and damaged bathrooms. The service staff, while generally super friendly and helpful, could benefit from knocking before entering a room. The location is excellent, especially for golf enthusiasts being close to the old course and the sea shore, but somewhat marred by being filthy and unattractive in some areas. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with a well-presented and generous portion of kipper but also instances of poor service and unpreparedness, though the dinner menu seems promising. Overall, a mixed bag of experiences depending on different aspects of the stay but with potential.
I couldn't have asked for a better view from my room overlooking the beach. The decor might need a touch-up, but the comfort level was top-notch. The service was exceptional despite the elevator mishap. Dining left something to be desired, but overall, a remarkable stay by the sea.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful views, but unfortunately, it was located directly above the hotel bar, which made it impossible to sleep due to the loud music until late. The service was friendly and welcoming, yet slow in clearing up after meals. The location was exceptional, overlooking the golf clubhouse, but marred by untrained staff. The dining experience was a mix of excellence and needing improvement. Overall, a decent stay with some room for enhancement.
